How can I use my mobile abroad?
When you’re travelling abroad, using your mobile phone can raise a number of issues, particularly when it comes to connectivity and data availability. We’ll explain in detail how to use your mobile phone correctly while travelling abroad. Follow our advice for a smooth, hassle-free mobile experience, wherever you are.

- In most of our mobile plans, all data included in the plan is available across Europe. European countries where this data policy applies are: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, French Guiana, French Polynesia, Germany, Greece, Guadeloupe, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Malta, Martinique, Monaco, New Caledonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Reunion Island, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Saint Martin, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
- Your data consumption is no longer included in your plan once you leave European territory. This means you will be billed for the data you use. We recommend that you deactivate 4G when travelling abroad. This will avoid any unpleasant surprises when you get home and look at your bill!
GiGA tips
When leaving the area comprising the European countries listed above, one option is to get a SIM card for the country you are visiting. This will enable you to take advantage of your phone’s various functions while using a capped amount of money and get a certain amount of mobile usage during your stay. You can also connect to local WiFi networks when using your phone abroad. These are often free of charge. This is a highly cost-effective solution that will more than satisfy your needs!
