First of all, check the indicator lights on your FritzBox and see if the “Powercable” is flashing. If it’s flashing, this means there is a problem. This light will stay on when your modem is working properly, indicating that it is operating correctly.

Sometimes, you might be under the impression that your Internet is down, but it may simply be that one of your devices (e.g. smartphone) is having difficulties connecting to the Internet properly. To find out whether the issue relates to a specific device, check your other Internet-enabled devices. If they are working normally, the problem probably isn’t with your Internet connection.

If the indicator light is flashing and there is no network failure, we recommend you do a full reboot of your FritzBox. Unplug it from the power outlet and wait 15 minutes before plugging in and restarting. This often solves the problem. If your Powercable button remains lit, you’re ready to go!
