My internet is not working anymore.

Is your internet connection not working and you don’t know how to fix it? We will explain all the steps you need to take to deal with this situation.

First, we recommend checking the indicator lights on your FritzBox and seeing if the “Powercable” light is flashing. If it is flashing, this means there is a problem. When your modem is working properly, this light should be steady to indicate correct operation.

If the indicator light is flashing, there may be several reasons for this:

There may be a network outage in progress. In this case, please visit our page for real-time information on the status of our network. You can also contact our customer service department for further details. Rest assured that in the event of an outage, our teams will respond as quickly as possible, regardless of the time of day.

Sometimes, you may think that your internet connection is not working, but it may be that one of your devices (e.g. your smartphone) is unable to receive the internet connection properly. To find out if the problem is with a particular device, check your other connected devices. If they are working properly, the problem is probably not with your internet connection.

GiGA tips

If the indicator light is flashing and no network failure is reported, we recommend that you completely restart your FritzBox. Unplug it completely and wait at least 15 minutes before turning it back on. This often resolves the issue. If your Powercable button lights up steadily again, everything is working!
